G.A.P. staff went to Pittsburgh this January to team up with SOUL (School of Unity and Liberation) and Line Break Media to support youth organizers in creating a collaborative video to build visibility for Pittsburgh's emerging education justice movement. Pittsburgh youth organizers were trained in production skills and media strategy in a two-day workshop series so that they could take the lead on creating strategic media for educational justice. Four youth organizing groups, Amachi, A+ Schools TeenBloc, Community Empowerment Association, and Hill District Concensus Group, came together from across the city for the first time to create the script during G.A.P.'s two day training. They launched their video at a youth led event on March 29th and it is now available to watch and share online. Check out the video below!
