Come Werk It! with Us and Send LGBTQ Youth to the AMC!

On Sunday, June 10th FIERCE, Global Action Project (GAP) and Streetwise and Safe (SAS) will proudly present the Werk it! Fundraiser a grassroots fundraising event that brings together these three empowering organizations and you to make it possible for young LGBTQ community leaders from each of these organizations to attend the Werk It! Trans and Queer Youth Network Gathering of the Allied Media Conference. It will be a night of performances, films, dancing, tasty food, delicious drinks and loving support!

Immigrant Students Wise Beyond Their Years

High school is tough for every kid, but when you don’t speak the same language as your peers, all the anxieties of young adulthood are amplified as your voice gets lost in the crowd. The Global Action Project brings us the story of Lobsang, a Tibetan immigrant who deals with bullying, language barriers and just plain awkwardness as a teen growing up in the city.

Tribeca Film Festival's "Our City, My Story" Screening "I Am Lobsang"

Our City, My Story is an annual celebration of excellence in New York City youth-made media that gives student-made work an audience during the Tribeca Film Festival. This year, Youth Breaking Border's film "I am Lobsang" was selected to be screened!

El Museo del Barrio Screens G.A.P. Films

El Museo del Barrio presented three G.A.P. films in their OUR ROLLS screening on March 17. This screening featured films by young local artists who use film as their palette to awaken the real and imagined testimonios of their lives and ours. Congratulations to all the G.A.P. youth producers who created these powerful films!

Our Homes, Our Rights Screening at MOMA

OUR HOMES OUR RIGHTS, a film created by youth leaders at CAAAV in Global Action Project's Community Media in Action program will be screening at MOMA Youth Media night tomorrow. Congratulations to all the youth producers who created the powerful media in this screening!
